Here at Links School Sport Partnership, we strongly believe that Healthy, Happy and Active children learn better. Our vision is to see ‘More Young People, More Active, More Often’ and the strength of our work within PE and school sport helps us to achieve this.
The well publicised Change4Life campaign through the NHS has some great free resources that primary schools can access that have tips on how to increase the amount of physical activity young people do each day, particularly important on those non-PE days. Change4Life clubs aim to encourage less active children to do more physical activity and to engage in school. At the heart of it all, they aim to enable children to develop their health and wellness, happiness, social skills and successful achievements.
Our schools are running Change4Life clubs where the main aim is to target the ‘Less Active’ pupils, where it is seen as a physical activity intervention, whereby attitudes and behaviours towards physical activity may change over time.
